Targeted Testing With Mobile Apps - New Innovations From Google

By Yusuf Diab

In a nutshell, if you were able to target specific users that were migrating from their mobile applications to websites that they were looking at using their mobile browser, you would have a better idea of what the consumers were actually looking for and would be able to display advertising that could complement these types of searches. Google is working on a way to look at this cross comparison of information, and then integrated in such a way that ad delivery using mobile applications could be taken to a more proficient level.

Advertisers will soon be able to target users that will be able to purchase their products and services which are migrating between mobile websites and apps. Using different tracking systems, they will be able to target your potential customers with much more accuracy, adding more money to your bottom line.

Cookie Preplacement Technology Exists? As you have probably heard, Google is trying to find a way to eliminate the cookie, bat file that is deposited into your web browser allowing other people to understand where you have been and what your activities actually are online. This is how retargeting actually works, when software programs are able to scan your cookies, and then display similar ads, or the same ads, you were looking at moments before on a completely different website. Fortunately, Google is not trying to eliminate this just yet, but is more focused upon combining all of this data whether you use and Android or Apple phone.

As AdAge reports, by working with several other firms, Google is literally revamping the entire cookie system. Instead of a cookie being deposited into your browser, which is how they are able to track what you are looking for, especially with retargeting, this new system should improve upon the results that you have using a new system that is even better.

All in all, executives at Google are speaking about a definite confidence in what they are working on using what are called cross device conversions. Hopefully this will add to extra revenue for advertisers and also provide a better experience for people that have smartphones that see ads that are displayed.

Google has been speaking about eliminating cookies, using a new and different type of technology. Whether this is what they are doing remains to be seen, but it is said to be a vast improvement over tracking methods used before to help advertisers generate more revenue.
