3 Best Internet Marketing Techniques

By Dan Vlady

Internet marketing can work wonders for your online business, no matter what you're selling. This article will look at some helpful tactics that can boost your results.

While article marketing is not a new concept, there are only a few Internet marketers really making use of the benefits it offers.

The best strategy to get the most out of your article marketing campaign is to create articles that follow a known pattern. You should always start out with a headline that draws attention, followed by an opening paragraph to build interest levels, while the rest of the article should be used to enhance desire for what you're promoting, until finally you end with a strong resource box that encourages the reader to take the action you desire. In copywriting, this is known as the AIDA formula, and it can work wonders for article marketing purposes. When you write articles for your marketing needs, try to keep them focused on a particular problem so that you can offer readers a solution within the resource box at the end. You have to show them the pain and educate them about that particular topic. Avoid adding direct sales messages within your article, but instead work on ways to add some pre-selling aspects. The object is to interest your readers enough so they eventually become a prospect. However, by creating boring or vague articles, readers are likely to look elsewhere for the information they seek. You're writing and publishing articles to generate targeted traffic, so keep things interesting and avoid trying to impress people with your language skills. In order to do this, write articles that flow smoothly and lead the reader directly to your resource box, in which you should have included a link back to your site for more information. It's easy to generate great results if you leverage your article marketing like this.

Ok, so what's so special about them? First, they do not have a lot of competition, and that makes them much easier to rank for. And secondly, they will have a decent search volume but not as high as the popular keywords. These phrases are commonly called long tail phrases because of the number of words in them, about 3 or 4. These search terms tend to be more targeted than those containing only one, or maybe even two words. The cool thing about these particular keyword phrases is they have a more narrower focus and intent with the surfer. This strategy can take you a long way because once you have your site optimized for a bunch of keywords; soon you'll see collective traffic coming in from all of them. You can eventually be receiving tons of targeted traffic without doing PPC advertising. Correct keyword research is really important here, so be sure you know how to choose the best keyword phrases.

Yet another useful approach is to build small niche blogs on blogger.com and other places so they'll rank for long-tail keyword phrases. Then of course you'll either put a banner or text links on them to drive traffic to your money site. The search engines assign more authority to the niche blogs, and they'll tend to easily outrank your regular site or blog. Internet marketing really doesn't have to be hard if you learn, prepare, and take action.
