Taking Advantage Of Mobile Search Engine Optimization

By David John

If you are a business owner and you want to capitalize on the local people finding you and what you have to offer in your business, you really need to be available when they look for your product on their mobile phones. It is now estimated that mobile phone advertising is driving 60% of the traffic to related stores of where people are searching.

For example, if a person is looking for a hardware store in an area, they will most likely do a search on the internet from their smart phone, and input something like, 'downingtown hardware' and hopefully your store will be first in line.

Mobile phones may be found in various shapes and sizes but they can never compare to your regular PC. They have a much smaller display and they have less computing energy. This means that, in general, regular websites do not perform well on mobile devices, unless if a website has been optimized for mobile.

If you're using Wordpress to manage your website, there are different Wordpress blogs themes out there that instantly turn your web site to its mobile edition. If you don't what these themes are, just search on Google for "mobile Wordpress themes."

Just like the regular search results, nobody really knows how Google is ranking websites on mobile devices, however, it's safe to say that mobile website errors like a video that won't play is going to affect your bounce rate, or the amount of time your website visitor stays on your website. Bounce rates, in turn, affect how you rank on search engines. So, a great part of mobile SEO is making sure that your website is working properly.

Once you get them in the store, keep them coming by sending text messages to them with specials and freebies. It's all about the marketing, and you will be the winner.
