Gen Z Long Island Advertising Pointers To Know

By Paula Hess

If you heard of the term Generation Z, also known as "Gen Z," you may know that it identifies as younger group. What you may not know is that it specifically refers to those that were born between the mid-90s and early 2000s. Business owners are wise to market to them, but this is easier said than done without the right approach. Fortunately, solid Long Island advertising can make matters easier. Here is what you should know about targeting potential Gen Z customers.

One of the ways that companies such as fishbat target Gen Z customers is by prioritizing modern platforms. These include, but aren't limited to, streaming video and social media. Seeing as how those that fall into the Generation Z group tend to use the Internet the most, this should come as no surprise. Traditional platforms like radio and newsprint aren't as effective, so try to focus on more modern platforms instead.

Another way to reach your Gen Z audience is by keeping your marketing as prompt as it can be. The vast majority of people that fall into this group will not give promotional efforts that waste their time considerable attention. For this reason, you should get to the point sooner. No matter what you have to sell, or the industry that you're in, quick marketing is most effective when reaching out to younger prospects.

Third, be as inclusive as possible. It's difficult to put a face to what one may consider a Generation Z member, mainly because there are various identities to consider. Whether it's in regard to familial background, ethnicity, gender, or what have you, Gen Z marketing should encompass a broader range of individuals. This will help business owners reach more people, which will ultimately help the businesses in question grow.

Perhaps the most important factor that goes into Generation Z advertising is transparency. Young men and women that fall under this umbrella, to a large degree, like to know what businesses are about. Not only does this apply to the products and services they offer, but how they help others, not only locally but abroad. If you're a business owner that gives back to their community, then the likelihood of marketing to Gen Z prospects increases.
