Efficiency and productivity in an office can be increased through the use of different pieces of equipment. Once in a while, there are instances that lead to the decrease in there productivity or some even wholly failing. These conditions lead to considerable losses in terms of time and resources. It is for this reason that there is need to undertake Ricoh copy machine repair. There are various problems that bring about these malfunctions, and at the same time, there are a number of ways to rectify such problems.

Paper jams are a common problem that is experienced by users of these items. This results due to accumulation of dirt on the mirrors or as a result of using a different type of paper from the one that is set to be used for that particular device. It can also originate from worn out rollers. Undertake replacement of rollers and cleaning of lenses frequently.

The device can be producing faded items. This not only annoys but it leads to a lot of wastage especially when producing in bulk. The printing density might have been set way too low than it should be. Again it can result from insufficient amounts in the cartridges. Make sure you set the density a bit higher.

Ghosting is an issue where the image is going to be printed on the paper, but on some other part, the same appears in other parts. It automatically makes the item obsolete which is a waste of resources being used. The problem results from the power supply. Disconnect it and plug in another device to bring it back to normal.

Another thing that is commonly witnessed is the production of items that when touched after being made are easily erased, or ink smears all over. The source of this is the presence of a spillage inside. It can also be as a result of the toner being faulty which means it is getting too much ink. Clean the spillages that might have happened and change the cartridges.

A 50.4 error message might continuously be appearing during the process. This happens mostly when using the UPS source to power which is very wrong as it brings about uneven power surges. These devices are supposed to be connected to the socket wall due to the huge amounts of electricity that is needed to drive and ensure that the quality they print is up to standards without breakages in between.

Printing from a tray other than the specified or intended one is also a common problem. Occasionally, there might be a jam where it ends up picking papers from the wrong source, and this creates confusion and even printing of wrong item specifications. It originates from the settings either on the PC or those that are set on them.

Finally, the product might have lines appearing all over that were not on the intended document. They originate from particles being present on the lenses or mirror. Again they can be from malfunctioning of the drum. To get rid of such issues, clean the mirror on a regular basis. Moreover, replace the cartridge or any other part that might have a malfunction in the course of work.
