Network Marketing - Is MLM Dead?

By Rey McLauren

If you are involved in network marketing, then you need to have a good website. In this context, this means having a website that can attract and convert visitors in to customers and clients.

The biggest mistake that network marketers make is to lie. Lying on your website, email blasts, or in your initial contact is disastrous for building your business. In this field, trust is your main asset. You need to make sure that your potential clients know that if you are recommending something, that it is the real deal. Do not try to downplay the amount of work that goes into building a network. This is not a business that you can do lying down. It requires hard work and perseverance. Be honest and upfront and the customers that you build will be quality ones.

You know the old adage, "it takes money, to make money"? Network marketing will generally require an initial investment of funds in order to begin to see a return. If you are not prepared to lay down some money in order to build your business, this may not be the time for you to start in this field.

Your website will never need to take sick leave, have a smoking break, or have time off for a holiday. It is the most profit producing investment you can make, and it will cost you very little to put up and maintain.

Testimonials are the bread and butter of a successful network marketer. They are one of the top ways that you show potential new customers that you are the person to trust. In building your website, make sure that you use testimonials on every page of your site. It is easy for people to ignore a single testimonials page. These statements should be visible on every page of your site so that no matter where a customer goes, they will see that you are a marketer to be trusted. If you can, use client photos with the testimonies for an extra push to their effectiveness.

Post your photo on your multi level marketing website to add to your credibility. I'd highly recommend having a professional shot taken, but don't make it look too serious or too friendly. A moving shot of you laughing could make you seem unreliable and goofy, but a shot of you without a smile will make you look rigid and cold. Try to get a photo that makes you look approachable and trustworthy.

You want to be available to the people who come to your website. They need to know you are a real person so be sure to have conversations with your readers. Don't take them for granted. By teaching others, as you get your downline, they will carry on the same way.

This is a mistake that can be very costly. There are many different ways to build your network, but each one takes different amounts of times. Calculate the amount of time it takes you to build a contact and make sure to include time spent on the phone, driving, sending emails, and creating content. If the time spent costs more than the contacts you make from the effort, it may be time to try a different method.

Your website should not be the only online presence you have on the internet. There are so many places on the internet that you can use to help build your network and drive traffic to your money sites. Learn how to use social media, blogging and forums to your advantage.

When you have a website in place, it is very easy to connect with other websites in the marketplace. This will give you instant access to lots of other potential joint venture partners. There are many other businesses out there who would be able to send you clients in exchange for something that you can offer. You can make deals with them, and exchange website links in order to make this process very easy.

Network marketing has changed people's lives. If you have the drive and determination, you can build a real business and create a new career for yourself. It is not an overnight endeavour and it will require long days and nights. If you commit yourself though and keep learning new methods, you will be able to find success in the world of network marketing.
